I was born and raised on a farm in Minnesota and am a lifelong Lutheran. I ended up in the PNW when I married Lon 36 years ago. We have 3 adult daughters and two adorable grandsons. Our family has hosted international students in our home for over 20 years. That led me to working with Chinese students, arranging music & English camps for them at the UO. Most recently I was an EA for special needs middle schoolers, which was challenging but so rewarding!
Now I am newly retired and life seems busier than ever with our UO students, home renovation projects, spoiling the grandchildren and a bit of travel.
In 2023 we found Emmaus and began getting to know members. I now feel called to seek out ways to support our congregation in fellowship. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on council and look forward to many fun times ahead!
