Tiny Houses

In 2021, as the pandemic became widespread and the housing shortage became an acute crisis, Emmaus began hosting families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Emmaus has continued this ministry of welcome since then. Currently, we collaborate with Hosea Youth Services to provide housing for at-risk youth (ages 18–24). Residents have access to a community room, restroom, and kitchenette in the Emmaus building. Each unit provides residents with a space to call their own, with a built-in desk, bed, closet space, and AC/heat. Our current units were designed and built by SquareOne Villages, funded in part by Emmaus member donations and grants provided by the Autzen Foundation, the McKay Family Foundation, and the Chambers Family Foundation.
