I was born in Washington in 1959. I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, in 1981.
From 1987-2014 I lived in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was the Honolulu Symphony pianist and performed with Chamber Music Hawaii, New Music Hawaii, and many recitals for visiting and resident artists. I was adjunct faculty for Hawaii Pacific University from 1999-2014.
In 2014, I received my Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 2022, I completed a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Oregon.
In addition to being a pianist, I’m also a singer and have a love for liturgical music, having been a cantor at both Temple Beth’el in Tacoma, Washington and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Honolulu. I have been a pianist and organist for First Chinese Church of Christ and St. Teresa’s Catholic Co-Cathedral in Honolulu.
I’m looking forward to being part of the Emmaus community.
